Description
Stian is a set of four VGA effects.
Some effects are rendered at only a quarter resolution (i.e. 160x100) and expanded to cover the full screen by only filling one in every block of four pixels. That produces a rather dim output, the Scale4x filter can be used to fill the gaps, producing a solid image, rather than a set of dots.
-
Blue Water
Renders wavy, blue, diagonal bands of color that scroll to the left. This is one of the modules that renders at quarter resolution.
-
Cycle and Cycle 2
Provides a brief epileptic seizure notice, then renders nested circles and color cycles their colors inward. The direction of the cycling can be controlled via the +/- keys. Cycle renders multi-colored circles in the default 16 color palette, while Cycle 2 renders black and white ones.
Intended to provide visual effects outside the monitor when one stares at the patterns for a while, though other programs do a better job of that.
-
Pezt-Effect
Simply rotates the color of the command prompt background rapidly. Waving objects in front of the screen while it flashes causes colored trails due to persistance of vision.
-
Waterthi (Water Thing?)
Renders a wavy, red, tartan-like pattern that scrolls to the upper left. This is one of the modules that renders at quarter resolution.
