Description
2ynesthesia is the updated version of Eli Brandt's Mindwarp/Synesthesia IIx programs. It renders 16 spiraling meshworks with dancing comets and grids and supports audio input via a Creative Labs Soundblaster card.
It's difficult to get the audio input modes working today as DOSBox fails to provide audio input, VirtualBox can't run the program beyond it's image generation, and few computers still include MS-DOS compatible Soundblaster cards.
There are a number of bugs with the software, Eli states...
This is not release-quality software. This is not beta-quality software. This is not even Microsoft-quality software.
One of the more obvious bugs would be that the 1280x1024 modes actually render images at 1280x960 leaving a solid band of color 64px wide at the bottom of the screen.
